I also thought the old Beso del Sol space would be better, but they wanted to buy a building. Ths is a coup for any neighborhood, to get a world-famous, homegrown fun business like this!

Um, "Anonymous"? One way in which Not A Number is different from Archie's is WE DO NOT CARRY A LOT OF CHEAP CRAP made in China, which you'd know if you've been in there....
We have more locally-created stuff than just about anyone, and have a lot of green products. And we're one of the only shops in WA that carry certain toys that are European-made & are specifically NON-toxic. Come back & see - even a bunch of our greeting cards are recycled paper/soy ink, etc!
Btw, we all need to stop and play. Lighten up.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2698052200205434862.post-81091431301218890402008-10-04T11:46:00.000-07:002008-10-04T11:46:00.000-07:00Uck. Archie McPhee's AND Not a Number are filled with useless junk made primarily of toxic plastics made in China.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2698052200205434862.post-75085825705537531712008-10-01T14:01:00.000-07:002008-10-01T14:01:00.000-07:00This is a return to Wallingford for Archie McPhee'...This is a return to Wallingford for Archie McPhee's. They used to be on Stone Way (perhaps where Gasworks Park Kite shop is now located?) before moving to Ballard about 10 years ago.

But note that Archie McPhee's is going to displace the liquor store. As happy as I'll be to have Archie's back in the neighborhood, I have to admit that I buy liquor somewhat more frequently than I buy rubber chickens and fake eyeballs.Juhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01308561753098682214noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2698052200205434862.post-34789653108616167682008-09-30T16:51:00.000-07:002008-09-30T16:51:00.000-07:00Maybe it's the spot of the former Mexican restaura...Maybe it's the spot of the former Mexican restaurant on the southeast corner of that intersection?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2698052200205434862.post-19441514067412495402008-09-30T14:54:00.000-07:002008-09-30T14:54:00.000-07:00That's great for the neighborhood, but I feel kind...That's great for the neighborhood, but I feel kind of bad for Not a Number, which has a lot of overlap with Archie McPhee's.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
